Southampton Solent is emerging into the fashion industry. 2011 Graduates are showcasing their Fashion Design, Promotion & Photography talent at some amazing events . Students are in the process of finalising their amazing creations, be it an inspirational garment, directional fashion magazine or an exciting advertising campaign. It is the first time that Southampton Solent will be featuring at the Free Range event at the Truman Brewery in London. It is an exciting event and has become the number one platform and launch pad for the next crop of creatives to showcase their work to both public and industry. Attracting visitor numbers to rival the largest art events, the annual Free Range exhibitions present the work of thousands of art, design students in several distinct categories including: fashion, art, graphics, photography and interior design. To be a part of it will be an amazing experience for both the university and the talent graduates.
Southampton Solent will be featuring at the annual Graduate Fashion Week event. Show casing the talented students work, giving the industry the opportunity to see graduates work in portfolios. Project manager Charlotte Hamilton is in the process of designing an end of year book to showcase all of the Fashion Design, Promotion and Photography students work in a quick and easy format. Giving industry people the opportunity to take away the book rather than rummaging through the endless amounts of portfolios.
There will also be the opportunity for the local community to support the talent of Southampton Solent a the Solent static show held from the 10th June at the University.
